IdeaTV BigPicture is set to storm the OTT market

The future of entertainment has gone for a super toss. The Covid Era has catapulted the newest player in the entertainment industry to dizzying heights making the mobile phone even more pervasive. The mobiles have taken over the reign from the 65 ft cinema screens and the 21” television screens, giving the user endless choices and liberating him from the agony of watching the stereotyped programs that reined the television industry hitherto.

The nascent OTT industry unleashed its power to change the world of entertainment in a daring way- by offering people what they wanted. The “Over-the-top” platform has indeed become the most important way in which video content is consumed nowadays. According to KPMG Media and Entertainment Report 2018, the Indian OTT market is expected to grow 45 percent to reach 138 billion by the end of fiscal 2023. According to a report by Ernst & Young, the number of OTT users in the country will reach 500 million by 2020, making India the second–biggest market after the US.

Another interesting feature in IdeaTV BigPicture is the Friday 9 se 12 Box Office segment which allows new or unknown filmmakers to screen/ release their movies at a price they decide. Many upcoming film makers have already queued up to the channel to work out on the prospective dates of the release of their movies in the new IdeaTV BigPicture Box Office theatre.
